This warranty will become void if:

The CAT Electronic Rust Protection System is disconnected from its power supply or is damaged internally or externally through accident, misuse or modification.
-
The vehicle is modified from the manufacturer's original specifications in a way that may affect corrosion protection.
-
Collision damage, chemical contamination or accidental damage is repaired without the affected areas being professionally re-treated by ENDRUST Gold Coast within one (1) month of repairs being completed.
-
The vehicle remains unregistered for a period exceeding three (3) months.
-
The corrosion issue is covered under an applicable vehicle manufacturer's corrosion warranty.

The vehicle has been subjected to unreasonable misuse, abuse or neglect.
-
Ownership of the vehicle changes. This warranty is issued to the original owner only and is not transferable.
-
The owner fails to comply with the obligations outlined within these Terms & Conditions.
-
The vehicle is used in environments beyond the intended application of the rust protection system, including but not limited to:
-
Beach lifeguard vehicles

Vehicles regularly submerged or operating in saltwater (excluding normal recreational beach driving).
-
Owner Responsibilities

To maintain warranty coverage, the owner agrees to:
-
Regularly check that the CAT Electronic Rust Protection System is operating correctly by ensuring the indicator light is illuminated (flashing or solid, depending on model) and that all coupler pads remain securely attached.
-
Understand that ENDRUST Rustproofing protects only while the protective coating remains intact and fully adhered to the treated metal surfaces.
-
Promptly repair any damaged or compromised rust protection. Failure to do so within a reasonable period may void this warranty.
-
Present the vehicle for inspection every twelve (12) months (within ±30 days of the anniversary date) at ENDRUST Gold Coast. Each inspection must be recorded, signed and stamped in the warranty record.
Owners should also note that light brown staining (ferric oxide) that forms around stone chips or paint damage is not considered corrosion covered under this warranty. Damaged paintwork should be cleaned and repaired as soon as practical to prevent corrosion from developing.
Limitation of Liability
The maximum benefit payable under this Vehicle Corrosion Warranty is $2,500 over the warranty period, with a maximum payment of $500 for any individual claim.
This warranty does not cover:
-
Loss of vehicle use
-
Hire or rental vehicle costs
-
Towing expenses
-
Travel costs
-
Loss of income
-
Any indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
Warranty Claim Procedure

Before lodging a claim, the owner should first determine whether the corrosion issue is covered under the vehicle manufacturer's corrosion warranty.

If the claim is not covered and the owner believes they have a valid claim under this warranty, ENDRUST Gold Coast must be notified within 30 days of the owner becoming aware of the issue.

No repairs are to be carried out without the prior written approval of ENDRUST Gold Coast. Repairs undertaken without authorisation may not be eligible for reimbursement.

To support a warranty claim, the owner must provide:
-
The original tax invoice;
-
This completed warranty document;
-
Evidence that all required annual inspections have been completed.

A few recommendations that would strengthen this document legally and commercially:
-
Clearly state the warranty period (e.g. 5 years, 10 years, or lifetime while ownership continues).
-
Define whether the CAT Electronic Rust Protection System and the ENDRUST coating carry separate warranties.
-
Have the final document reviewed by a solicitor familiar with Australian Consumer Law to ensure it complements, and does not inadvertently limit, consumers' statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
